Eric Goldberg was a painter and watercolorist. He was born in Berlin Oct. 28, 1890, and emigrated to Montreal in 1928. He married Regina Seiden , a Canadian artist, in 1928. Studied at the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1906-10 with Tony Robert Fleury and Jean-Paul Laurens and Jules Lefebvre at Academie Julian, Paris, 1906-10, with Lovis Corinth and Hermann Struck, Berlin. He taught art classes in Berlin, Jerusalem, and privately in Montreal. Eric Goldberg was a founding member of the Contemporary Art Society in Montreal, 1939. He exhibited with the Contemporary Art Society group shows at the Art Association of Montreal, National Gallery of Canada, and Dominion Gallery, Montreal in the 1940’s. Eric Goldberg lived in Paris, Jerusalem, Chicago, Montreal, and New York, throughout his life. He painted in Spain, France, Laurentians, and Gaspe. Eric Goldberg died in Montreal, February 17, 1969.*
